Caring and thoughtful, Skylar is in tune with the feelings of others. This young teen is known for having good relationships with adults; his current foster parent says he is capable of great things! Skylar loves sports, especially football and basketball, and is always carrying a football around. Some of his preferred activities are going to the park, reading and watching movies. Skylar is an active Boy Scout who went on a scout trip over summer break for several days, which he very much enjoyed. As an eighth grader Skylar does well in school and benefits from an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and counseling, which will need to continue after placement. He looks forward to his future and attending college, but his current biggest dream is to have a loving family to call his own. The caseworker prefers a two-parent family in which Skylar can be the youngest or only child in the home; however, all family types will be considered. Skylar would benefit from an understanding and compassionate family that can offer a structured environment and positive role modeling. He enjoys being outdoors no matter the weather, so an active family that is fond of outdoor activities is desired. Skylar loves his siblings and values their relationships, and wishes to maintain contact after placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related expenses. For Wyoming children, both homestudied and non-homestudied Wyoming families are encouraged to inquire; only homestudied families from other states should do so.
