Kiaria is a social teen who relates well to people of all ages! She is described as compassionate, curious, outgoing, friendly and kind. Kiaria has a variety of interests that include music, watching music videos, playing basketball, shopping, reading and attending church. She loves animals and is accepting of them, shows affection by giving hugs and spending quality time with others, and makes friends easily. As a ninth grader, Kiaria's strengths lie in math, spelling, following instructions, paying attention in class and respecting authority figures. She currently benefits from an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and counseling. Kiaria states that she would like to be adopted by an African American family that does not have very many young children. Her caseworker prefers a home in which she can be the only child; however, all family types will be considered. Kiaria would like to maintain contact with her siblings and grandmother following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services. For Oklahoma children, both homestudied and non-homestudied Oklahoma families are encouraged to inquire; only homestudied families from other states should do so.
