Meet Chad! This friendly and outgoing young man enjoys being active in his community, whether it's hanging out with friends or playing sports like basketball and baseball. Traveling and doing anything outdoors is also high on his priority list. Chad is very personable, has a good sense of humor, and gets along well with most adults. A resilient teen, one the things he's most proud of is, "I can keep going when times are tough." Chad is a ninth-grader who currently benefits from counseling. When he finds the motivation for school work he has some great successes, and was recently a finalist in a poetry contest at his school! Chad's hopes for the future are to be adopted and go to college to become a lawyer or architectural engineer. His caseworker prefers a two-parent family who reside in an urban location, in which Chad can be the youngest child; however, all family types will be considered. He would do well as an only child but is okay with having older siblings. Chad has a strong desire to be placed with a Christian family. He would like to be part of a loving family that spends a lot of time together playing games, watching movies, and going to church. Chad wants a permanent family that he can go to for support, for the holidays, college assistance, and to call when he needs advice. He dreams of one day introducing his parents to his future spouse. Chad would like to live somewhere warm where he could be close to the ocean and hopefully a town or city with lots of people and things to do. He would like to maintain contact with his sibling following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services. For South Dakota children, only homestudied families from all states are encouraged to inquire.
